PAPER DOLLS!!!
1. Miami Vice
2. Wiseguy
3. Remington Steele
Tim Daly’s “The Fugitive”
Those “Movie of the Week” from the 70′s (especially the Linda Blair ones)
Stuff that no one else has mentioned:
CBS’ “Now and Again”. “Firefly” from Fox. Let’s go way back for “Quark” from NBC. That show was “Red Dwarf” before there was a “Red Dwarf”. Heck, I’d even call for “Surface” (NBC) to come back.
(OK, so Firefly did get mentioned. It needs to be said over and over again. Firefly needs to come back.)
I don’t have a show to add, just had to say that I LOVE ‘Central Park West’ or CPW to those in the know. Can quote lines from it (yes, I know that’s sad). It was the best worst show to ever be on TV and the moment its on DVD, I’m there.
Does anyone remember a great CBS summer replacement series called “Middle Ages”? It starred Peter Riegert & Amy Brenneman. I think it only aired a few episodes, but I remember those as being extremely well written.
To the person who liked, FASTLANE, they are showing reruns of it on TV ONE (the better, BET alternative)
Okay, okay – this is exciting me. Is that sad? Here is my wish list:
1. Relativity (anyone remember that show? Loved it, and the guy who starred in it with Kimberly Williams – what was his name and where the hell is he nowadays??) Update: I just checked – David Conrad, and he’s apparently on Ghost Whisperer – poor, poor man. He’s awesome.
2. Freaks and Geeks (I have the dvd set, but it would be great for a new audience to discover the genius of this show)
3. Malibu Shores (Kerri Russell, Christian Campbell, Charisma Carpenter, Tony Lucca……wow I loved this show when it was on).
4. The 90′s movies-of-the-week with teenish stars like Tori Spelling, Sarah Chalke, Sarah Michelle Gellar, and many more. I think there were on Mondays on NBC for the most part.
lol.
EP:
See this is why the movie title was changed.
Synopsis:
Rusty a house cat goes out of his house one day and decides to walk into the near by forest. There while chasing, and catching a mouse he sees cats similar to him execpt they are ferrel. The leader Bluestar a Russian Blue cat introduces herself and other members that are with her. She tells him about the four cat clans of the forest and that she is the leader of the Thunderclan. The authors (Erin Hunter actually is two authors)combine Sophoclies with C.S. Lewis and the games Dungeons and Dragons, and Final Fantasy. In fact the books have been so popular with children and teenagers that there are a bunch of role playing games on the internet.
Getting back to brilliant but cancelled:
Max Headrom
Raising Miranda
Brooklyn South
Boomtown
EZ Streets
Crime Story
The Ladies Man
Angie
Spencer (the Chad Lowe version. He quit the first season when he demanded a better pay. Without him the show was awful).
I would love to see one of the networks do something like this. TGIF on ABC was the greatest line-up of shows to watch as a kid and I miss that there isn’t anything like it any more. Would be great if ABC did something called “Flashback Fridays” where they would recreate an entire line-up of shows from a specific night back in the day. Example: “Tonight on Flashback Friday we travel back to Tuesday, Nov. 13th 1984.” They would then present the shows from that date just as the originally aired. Not just the shows, but the promos and commercials too.
I would also love to see NBC rerun the classic Johnny Carson Tonight Show episodes. That would make for a fun Saturday Night.
Sports Night, Talk Radio, Square Pegs, Once and Again, Roswell, Alice, Quantum Leap, One Day at a Time, Simon & Simon…..I could go on and on……
What a truly brilliant idea…I can’t believe TV execs aren’t already capitalizing on this…I vote for “The Others” (NBC), “Dark Skies” (NBC), Tim Daly’s “Eyes” (ABC), “Angel” (FOX), and “Due South” (CBS).
I would watch reruns of “Dallas” any day of the week on any channel. I would also love to see VH1 ditch some of their Celeb-reality shows and bring back some of the stuff that they ran in the mid to late ’90s, like “8 Track Flashback” and reruns of the Dick Cavett Show. So awesome…
Wiseguy, Meet John Doe, Nowhere Man, Crime Story, EZ Streets, V (both the miniseries and the series) Northern Exposure, Twin Peaks and Thirtysomething. Boy I watch a lot of T.V.
Eerie Indiana, Parker Lewis Can’t Lose, Grounded for Life, Muppets Tonight, Boomer, B.J. and the Bear, Book of Daniel, Grand, Stark Raving Mad.
