Well, I’m straight, if that really needs to matter (and it shouldn’t) and I think this song is cool. But it might take me a minute to get used to it. It’s a total rip off of JC’s sound.
I do enjoy it, it’s fun and pretty different from the pop music currently on the radio. It does sound a bit JC-ish, but I like.

As for Justin’s song, it’s kinda catchy. It’ll probably grow buut he should have sang with his regular voice.
Yes I adore Sexy Back, but for all of you shouting your love for it from the rooftops I have one question: Where were all of you when JC Chasez was crafting sex laced ass thumpers a year or two ago with his debut album?
VERY different, unique, kinda cool. but i do think that he should have used a little more of his regular voice. song of the summer, maybe not, i still side with x-tina and nelly furtado. there’s room for everyone though
This is an interesting activity for anyone who is bored and wants to investigate. I like this song called “Sexy Results” from Death from Above 1979. On that group’s album from last year “Romance Bloody Romance” (a sample should be on iTunes) they remix the “Sexy Results” song and there’s this strange similarity that hit me when I first heard “SexyBack.” Just listen.
It’s not as close as the “Holiday/A Public Affair” connection (Justin’s vocals are a bit more distored, obviously there are more lyrics in his song) but you will be surprised at how something new for Justin has been done before and better by better artists (even his groupmate JC). That is why he’s the Timberfake (sorry, I couldn’t resist).
Oh, and before the “you’re making something out of nothing” comments start… understand that I don’t think that Justin stole anything… it’s just an interesting comparison for those bored at work
although, I think people should realize this sound is not that innovative… (remember I hate Justin (how could you not after nipplegate) so that affects my thoughts, lovers go on loving)
Come on, JT. This is the best you can do? Break up with Cameron and get your music mojo back. SexyBack was lame.
I think this song is great, it’s a good dance track. Hopefully the album showcases his vocals more.
Ok, so I still haven’t been able to hear this Fergie single yet, but as for JT’s latest, its definitely different & i do like it, & it will definitely be one of the Top 10 songs of summer, but NOT the song of the summer for a few reasons. (1) he uses the phrase MOTHER F^(%$R. (2)No urban station will play this like they jumped on Nelly Furtado’s “Promiscuous”, & Urban Station’s playlists count more towards Billboard positioning since there are more of them in the country. With that being said, I do think forward thinking alternative stations such as KROQ in LA will spin this since they were the first to champion Gnarls Barkley here in the States, so I still think “CRAZY” will be the single of the summer!! FYI does anyone else think Justin’s “SexyBack” sounds kinda like the Scissor Sisters!?
Oh and for all you comparing him to JC’s last album, his new single, “UNTIL YESTERDAY” drops next month!!
Whoa Jon I just downloaded the very good ‘Sexy Results’ remix by Death From Above 1979. Wow. Traces of Sexyback can indeed be heard throughout it. Thanks man for turning me on to a great track I have never heard before.
And would Popwatch stop using that awful picture of JT? He’s a handsome dude, but covering one’s face with what looks like a tie looks Wacko Jacko-esque.
Good, ok, but Nelly and Christina and Gnarls are all better. Anything can beat that crap by Fergie. Refuse to hear anyting by Paris for fear of what I might catch. Her strand of stuff my be transmitted in ways not known to normal stuff. It is very JC like….that’s funny.

Well, if ur dating Cameron and can come away from janet jackson unscathed u’d think u could be the Jesus Christ if sexy too. The song’ is ok. But Maneater from Nelly Furtado is the one that i cant stop listening to, even better than Promiscuous,so it doesnt matter which of the three songs I like more…Timbaland gets a pile of money.
