Sean Bean would be my pick, he has the look (He might need to workout some) and he’s a great actor
Anyone who says a wrestler should have the lead in a movie wants that movie to fail. This is cinema, not WWE. If you really think Tripe H or the like are “good actors” you are sadly mistaken and no on in the real world agrees with you. Just because they can♠ say lines doesn’t mean they are good actors.
Thor’s lead actor does not need to be 7′ tall and have “done steroids their whole life.” Good lord, have you SEEN the Lord of the Rings movies? DO you think Elijah Wood and Sean Astin are under 4′ tall in real life? It’s Hollywood baby.
Kenneth Branagh is directing this movie. You know, the guy who does Shakespeare better than anyone else in the world. The day he picks HHH to play Thor is the day Satan drives a snow plow to work.
Oh, and my vote? Alexander Skarsgard. From True Blood and Generation Kill. He can act (unlike Triple H, he REALLY can act)! He’s 6’5″! Swedish! Women thinks he’s attractive (not that I care, but it’s a part of the role)!
without a doubt James Preston Rogers for the roll of THOR.
I have been watching true blood on HBO. The character Eric Northmann, played by Alexander Skarsgard, would be perfect for the part. The guy is huge, plays a powerful vampire, and is fairly dramatic. His character, before becoming a vampire, was a viking. Check him out.
Woody Allen would make an excellent choice.
BROCK LESNAR SHOULD PLAY THOR.
BROCK LESNAR SHOULD PLAY THOR.
DAVID BOREANAZ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!or Superman, or Batman or Rhett Butler or Heathcliff……..etc.
ALEXANDER SKARSGARD! No question about it!
You guys might put me dowm for this, but I’m going to have to go with Brad Pitt. No HHH, he’s doesn’t have enough experience as the other Avenger Characters like Robert Dowry or Hugh Jackson. Brad may not be fit for the part, but he has the skills and looks for the part. I rather see an extradinary acting performance by a popular actor than by someone that has the looks, and not the skills. Does Robert look like Tony Stark in the comics. The answer is no, but I would never trade him out for any other actor. He was hilarious, and did I great job!!!
I think that JAMES PRESTON RODGERS is the right guy to play THOR GOD OF THUNDER. Hes Young fit experienced and most of all a comic FAN. Marvel cast our versions of the heroes Robert Downey JR as Stark,Nick fury is Samuel L jakson and now Edward Norton As Bruce Banner .One look at JAMES PRESTON RODGERS you can see hes THOR

Ive read a lot of these comments and im gonna put my 2 cents in. Triple H would be a great pick- people say he’s not a great actor- I admit his character could have been better in Blade 3, but I blame that on whoever wrote his dialog- if you listen its all swear wors, which is not Triple H’s fault. Brad Pitt isn’t built enough and although he has moments of great acting, action is not one of them: I saw Troy and found him over the top in my opinion. Kevin Nash would be a great pick if he was 10 years younger. I think Gerard Butler could pull it off if he has that 300 body stll and colors his hair blonde. Mickey Rourk could play Thor but might be too old as well. Thats really it unless a 30 year old Arnold shows up.
Billy Zane would be pretty sweet to see, IMO
Arnie lol from the Conan days!
