At first glance I thought it was Katie Holmes. Then II saw it was Britney “Please respect my privacy” Spears and then I just shook my head. Please, everyone, stop buying her albums, stop downloading her pictures, stop buying tabloids with her on the cover and stop watching her tv interviews. Then maybe she will go away and we can respect her privacy! And Maury Povich? You’re a real jerk. It’s called a phobia for a reason. It might sound ridiculous to anyone who doesn’t think about pickles on a day-to-day basis, but that girl didn’t look like she was acting to me.

What really galls me about this whole thing is maybe, MAYBE, this whole moronic media pendulum swing would be understandable if Britney had something out to promote. An album, a movie, a fragrance, a photo retouching service.
What’s she selling here? Her pathetic marriage? Her ridiculous lifestyle? Her questionable parenting choices? Please, someone tell me?
Ok, so I watched the Matt(where are my sox)Lauer interview and though i cringed at the hair, the makeup… well the whole affair, I actually felt bad for the “poor” girl. Cut to today and what is this??? I mean how can you cry on tv and begged us to leave you alone if you then go on an put your best “I’m not that innocent” smile and posed nude on a Mag? welll….
Bring on all the paparazzi in the world, the constant People and US weekly headlines, and rip her apart until she truly goes away!
OH Chuck, btw, yes “she” doesn’t have anything to promote but you are missing the whole point of all of this: K-Fed has an album coming and remember, that’s because of his lotto ticket, so he needs say lotto ticket to be out there keeping the spotlight on them so he doesn’t have to.

Britney is no idiot. I think she is a self-marketing, iconic genius! Anyone who can manage to stay at the forefront of America’s A.D.D.-riden conscience for so long should only be commended. Britney, who is on maternity leave from the music industry, gets more attention than most singers who are actually working. Never before has the world been so infatuated with a pregnant, waddling, 20-something year old. The press is more consumed with a flip flop and maternity top-wearing Spears than they are with the glam stars that sport Vera Wang on the red carpet! If one wants to claim that it’s the “train wreck” shtick that they cannot turn away from…well, that just makes it even more clear that we’re all slaves to the very “idiotic” culture that we love to ridicule and sneer at. (BTW, Britney is a gorgeous Mom, particularly in these scans)
