The title of Click, Adam Sandler’s movie about a man who finds a remote control that can freeze-frame his life, may have been a misspelling of ”Cliché,” writes USA Today’s Claudia Puig, one of many reviewers who noticed the film’s similarity to It’s a Wonderful Life. But few puns adorning the reviews in today’s papers were any more original. Many reviewers found in the film a clash between the middle-aged comic’s encroaching maturity (and mortality) and his enduring juvenile fondness for poopy jokes; their headlines focused on whether or not that blend actually does ”click” or whether it makes the movie ”remotely” funny. Still, a few creative critics and headline writers avoided variations on those two words. We’ve picked the best and ejected the rest.
Kansas City Star: MUTE! STOP! EJECT!
Detroit News: ‘Click’ pushes all the right buttons
Orange County (Calif.) Weekly: Pause & Effect
Minneapolis Star-Tribune: ‘Click’ — Is there an ‘awful’ button?
Miami Herald: Wait for DVD, and your remote will come in handy, too
Knoxville (Tenn.) News Sentinel: Film’s erratic moods may give some viewers pause
Newark (N.J.) Star-Ledger: ‘Click.’ Ick

I have NO intentions of seeing this movie….it looks rediculous. If Adam talks like he did in “Waterboy”, I’d just pull my hair out….Can that voice get any more annoying???
Does anyone go to an Adam Sandler movie for intellectual stimulation? Of course it looks ridiculous-IT’S AN ADAM SANDLER COMEDY. if you don’t want to see this, go see Cars. Oh wait…talking cars?…that’s ridiculous.
kiss my ass bob….no one asked you.
This movie has really brought out the worst in the review headline writers – here’s a handful more if anyone’s inclined: http://burbanked.com/2006/06/23/click-reviewers-are-working-way-harder-than-they-have-to.aspx
Aren’t these the same people that told me The English Patient was one of the best movies ever, while the Matrix(original) just plain sucked?
I’m sorry, the next time i take the word of a critic about a movie will be the day i find myself jumping off a 27 story building….
Kansas City Star deserves an award for best review title… EVER!
Wish I had a remote like that….CLICK….
