Cynical types might view the following blog item as a blatant attempt to suck up to (read: finagle a free Diet Coke from) a fellow EW staffer, but no matter: Our own Melissa Rose Bernardo correctly predicted 14 out of 17 winners in The Envelope‘s Tony Awards pool (just one behind the pundits from NYTheatre.com and Backstage), and she was the only one to nail Jersey Boys‘ Christian Hoff as the winner for Featured Actor in a Musical. How do you like them apples?

Why on earth did whichever editer post a pic of frickin’ No Talent Roberts on the “stage news”? The Tony Awards were clever and didn’t recognize her “work”, so why does EW mock so many worthy winners with a pic of a non-nominee?
