At any rate, Conan and the Emmys are hooking up again, trying to recapture the magic they had when he hosted in 2002, which seems like ages ago. Or four years, one or the other. It was, inarguably, a different era. Aniston and Pitt were one flesh. Osbournes jokes were the height of fashion. Housewives weren’t desperate, offices weren’t funny, Joey was but a twinkle in Satan’s eye, and "lost" only described certain heavily medicated producers who couldn’t find their way to the john.
Conan got good reviews, if you’ll recall. I wish him the best. I hope he takes the president of Finland as his plus-one. They could take the stage simultaneously to the strains of Foreigner’s "Double Vision." Oh, man. I’m getting my hopes up. Gotta settle down.

What’s the world coming to when they announce the host of the Emmys before we know who’s actually hosting the Tonys?
They had a TV guy do a pretty good job at the Oscars. They should have put a movie guy who hasn’t been on TV in years host the Emmys. Hmmm… Robin Williams?????

Well I, for one, am ecstatic that genius Conan O’Brien is hosting the Emmy’s again. He did a brilliant job the first time he did it, and his little bit during the multiple host year was by far the funniest and most clever. Welcome back, Conan!!
I’ve been waiting for him to be chosen again. Now I can’t wait until the Emmy’s. The Oscars really needs his hosting skills next year, he would be fantastic with that as well.

Conan is one of the funnniest men on TV. No other host puts himself out there like he does. I cant wait. He was great before and this time around he’ll be fantastic.

Glad it’s Conan, and not Oprah!!! I’m so sick of Oprah…look how rich I am Oprah! When I saw previews for her special, The Legends Ball, all I could think was, good grief, all the money spent on another party for her to show off….that kind of money could fund several school systems….or better yet, rebuild the hurricane ravaged Mississippi, Alabama, Florida, and Louisiana coastlines!
Conan is one of the funniest men on television and will do a fantastic job. I love that he’s not afraid to look like a buffoon in order to get a laugh. So many comedians are more interested in looking cool than actually being funny.

Conan is a damn solid choice. I’m not a huge late night TV person, but Conan is consistent and very skilled. Now if the selection committee will just go ahead and nominate Battlestar Galactica for Best Drama I may actually tune in. Time for some outside the box thinking.
