It is official: Daniel Dae Kim (Jin on Lost) is sexy. According to USA Today. And according to those in my Lost posse who consider themselves connoisseurs of the Y chromosome. And this is news, sadly, because a) we seldom see an Asian male in primetime and b) we NEVER see a sexually potent Asian male in primetime. Congratulations to America, for lusting progressively!
Oh, and not to burst your bubble, Lost-ies, but native speakers say his Korean is terrible. He is, after all, an American, and Americans are well known for having American accents. But, chances are, the linguistic details won’t matter tonight, when Sun and Jin do a scene in the international language of lurve.

duh – he is totally hot. I think the fact that he speaks no english on the show and you cannot really understand him adds to the hotness.
As Etta James would say: “At Last”. Kim’s got to be the first Non-Rock Asian Hearthrob since Bruce Lee.
Director Greg Pak spoke about how Asian men are rarely shown shirtless on screen , and are rarely presented in film or tv as manly or with traits that would be considered sexy, especially if they don’t do martial arts. So this is superbly refreshing to see at least one hermano break out of them doldrums. Plus, Kim shows that it is indeed possible to be an Asian dood, NOT do Kung fu and still be a tv hottie. That is, IMHO, a sign of real progress.

dude is smokin’… Sun is actually crazy hot too (remember the turquoise bikini episode?) I didn’t realize there was a new Lost on tonight (I’ll have to totally change my plans – and no, I don’t even own a VCR!). Shirtless Jin is just icing on the cake.
The more we get to know Jin, the hotter he is. That Sun is one lucky lady that the plane went down and she gets to be with him, away from her father’s clutches.
