I have to give props to Michael Kors for offering a possible job to Daniel V. Class act.

    Where’s Andrae?
Ahh I love it. I liked Chloe but I really thought Daniel was going to win.

Chloe deserved it. She did an amazing job, as did Daniel. I have to give props to Michael Kors as well. I’m glad he offered a job to Daniel. Daniel is amazing. I enjoyed Santino getting cut first. I thought that was hilarious. I don’t think he should have been in the top three in the first place. He should have been cut along time ago. I think Nick, even Kara, would have made a better show than Santino. That’s just my opinion though. Although, Santino did create A COUPLE nice looking things. I give him props for that. I’m happy with the results of the show.
    Bring on Season 3.

I am beginning to think that ‘Project Runway’ is a big farce. All during the season, the judges kept telling Santino that they thought he was very creative, very talented but he was over the top on alot of his designs. So for the Fashion Week collection, he disciplines himself, tones it down and creates a beautiful collection. It was the most professional looking of all three collections – and the pleated dress alone was amazing. The dress that he and Andrae collaborated on was just gorgeous. Santino should have won. And if he could voice an opinion, I believe Tim Gunn would also say that he thought Santino’s collection was the best. The editor of Elle tells him that he should, no doubt, stay in fashion design – that is where he belongs and then later she is wondering if she should vote for Daniel or Chloe – huh?
Daniel was so arrogant and smug by the end of the season, he kept acting as if he was a shoo-in to win. But again, Tim Gunn (who is one guy who knows what it is all about) hinted that Daniel was being too safe and that his actual workmanship was sloppy. Didn’t phase Daniel – he just couldn’t understand why Tim wasn’t going a—–t over his collection. Face it, Daniel’s collection was the more versatile but most of the designs have been done before – does Audrey Hepburn come to anyone’s mind when viewing his work? Also, the best dress of his collection was the collaboration with Nick. Obviously, Nick’s input made it what it was – adorable! And what was Daniel’s theme again – all the judges couldn’t figure it out – but Kors offered him a job – doesn’t that make sense?
On to Chloe – some of her designs were really cool – and her choice of fabrics was excellent – but I did’t understand some of the embelilshments she put on her designs. The blue trim and blue puffy jacket on the last dress and the second to last dress took away totally from the overall appearance of the design. And the dress that Chloe and Diana (why did she pick her and not Emmett?) looked as though it was something a pregnant women might wear to a party!!!
But the biggest problems of all with this show are the judges. First of all, I don’t think that Heidi Klum should be allowed to judge – she should just host. Also, I don’t think that just because someone is a celebrity who wears high fashion (some of which is totally atrocious on the red carpet) or is an editor of a fashion magazine, doesn’t make them a good judge of a designer’s creations. The judges should all be designers themselves – whether they are well-known or only successful in their hometown. Only a designer can understand the entire process – from the sketching to the fabric choices to the pattern-making, fitting and sewing. Tim Gunn would be a wonderful judge but I think he gets too emotionally involved with the designers especially with those who continue on until the final episodes.
And the biggest laugh of all was when last season’s winner, Jay, said that Daniel should win because they were designs that an everyday women could wear and that is how it should be. Like an everyday woman would wear some of the monstrosities that he created for his collection?
Sound picky I know but oh well – can’t wait until next seasson – I hope Andrae and Nick apply again!!! And Santino!!!!

    JoVee –
Chill. It’s a TV show. As Michael Kors said, “Lighten up. It’s Fashion.”
And Daniel’s designs have rated very well on the PR Rate the Runway website. Chloe’s rated slighly higher, and Santino’s came in third. I think this is one of the only weeks that viewers have agreed with the judges (the viewers would have sent Santino home long ago).

I love you Santino and I loved your collection. You are the winner in my eyes. I look forward to watching you become filthy rich from your extraordinary talent.

If Bravo is interested in ratings, they need to have a followup special or mini-series facing off the five runners-up (Nick, Kara, Santino, Andrae, and Daniel) not just because they’re great designers, but because we LOVE to watch them interact. We can’t get enough of this crew.

I was rooting for Daniel V., but he did get a little full of himself at the end. His line had versatility but no theme. Santino just couldn’t win! The guy showed another side of his abilities and got shut down. I was surprised by how much I like his collection (in spite of the fit of the tops). And Chloe’s stuff looked well made, but very heavy and poofy.
