EW gets some 'X-Men: The Last Stand' scoop

First off the Phoenix story line needs a couple of movies just to lead up to it properly. All this complaining about it is ridiculous, The Shi’ar are an integral part of the Phoenix saga I don’t think it would be as good without the star spanning aspect to the story, Phoenix is a primal part of the Universe and needs that kind of scope to be done properly. Halle Berry as storm I like, I don’t think it unreasonable for her to want a more substantial part, after all Storm is a major character in the X-men Universe. I think the comparisons between Superman Returns and the X-men is stupid they will both be good movies, just give them both the chance to show it. The proper resurrection of the Batman franchise shows me that the studios want to bring the DC characters back from the horrible limbo that they were put into with the sub-standard sequels that came out, Superman 3&4, Batman 3&4. Lets just give all of these movies a chance maybe we will all be surprised with the results.

I think by now we all know by how comics carry over to the big screen, it’s never the same as our beloved comic books. Even with Spiderman which is now considered to be the all time best comic book movie, there is still a lot of things that can be pointed out that is different from the original story. All I ask of the director is to get close as possible as they can. I’m gonna take a chance on Brett.

I THINK ITS GR8 THAT PHOENIX SHOULD BE IN THE
3RD INSTALLMENT OF THE XMEN 3 BECAUSE AT THE ENDING OF X2 IT SHOWS A MOTIONIZED SCENE OF THE PHOENIX AND I THINK OF THE 3RD INSTALLMENT OF X3 I THINK THE BEGINNING PART OF X3 SHOULD BE ABOUT “PHOENIX” AND “THE DARK PHOENIX”

I am new to this, But I liked the last 2 Xmen to an extent. The new one looks ok and I won’t degrade it seeing as if none of us has seen it. But to not folow up on what they started is rediculousutterly rediculous most people who haven’t seen the trailor are expecting to see dark phoenix cause that’s where the last one left off, and truthfully whether uy all want to admit it it’s the reason we all expected a sequal because of that tidbit. But u know I ant no director so whatever.

I am still hung up on the fact that Halle Berry somehow managed to snag a more central role in X-3 than in either of the previous two X-Men movies. I would assume, like most people would, that since the second movie ended with the Phoenix scene, then the 3rd installment would make her a central figure. BUt anyway, the real point I am trying to make – why would the producers/directors change their whole movie premise because one actress (Halle Berry) threw a fit because she wanted more movie time? I thought movies were to entertain the people…guess I was wrong.
