News that Courteney Cox is going back to work — she’s co-producing and starring in Dirt, a drama pilot for FX, in which she’ll play a celebrity tabloid editor — prompted PopWatch to wonder: What ever happened to the cast of Friends? Okay, Jennifer Aniston has made the headlines once or twice (she’s also managed to make some movies, including The Break-Up, due in June), but what of the others?
We’ve been hearing a lot lately about Matthew Perry returning to TV as the star of Aaron Sorkin’s Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip, whose cast (including Amanda Peet, Evan Handler, and D.L. Hughley) has just expanded to include Bradley Whitford and Timothy Busfield.
Lisa Kudrow apparently has no hard feelings toward HBO over the cancellation of The Comeback, as she’s about to head to Aspen to appear at the annual HBO-sponsored U.S. Comedy Arts Festival next week.
David Schwimmer is making his Broadway debut in April in a revival of The Caine Mutiny Court-Martial. (He’s playing the part originated onstage by Henry Fonda and played in the movie by Jose Ferrer; Željko Ivanek is playing the Humphrey Bogart role of the paranoid commander Queeg.)
Finally, there’s Matt LeBlanc — anyone know what he’s up to these days? Anyone? Bueller?

Glad my 2 fav Friends returning to tv (Courteney and Matthew P). LOVE Courteney, could never figure out why she got the least hurrahs of the Friends gals.
Her pal Jennifer A. should take her cue and return to TV where she belongs (she’s not movie star material).
Can I just say that I am exceedingly excited for Studio 60. Sorkin, Busfield, and Whitford will make all my dreams come true. All he needs now is some Janney and…well, if John Spencer was still alive, then we would have the perfect show.

Where is Matt Leblanc? Will soon see a character named Joey get whacked on ‘The Sopranos’ — played by Leblanc in a blink-and-you’ll-miss-it bit, but those who catch it will be in hysterics over that inside joke. Those connections are finally paying off for our ‘Friend’
