News that Courteney Cox is going back to work — she’s co-producing and starring in Dirt, a drama pilot for FX, in which she’ll play a celebrity tabloid editor — prompted PopWatch to wonder: What ever happened to the cast of Friends? We’ve been hearing a lot lately about Matthew Perry returning to TV as the star of Aaron Sorkin’s Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip, whose cast (including Amanda Peet, Evan Handler, and D.L. Hughley) has just expanded to include Bradley Whitford and Timothy Busfield.
Lisa Kudrow apparently has no hard feelings toward HBO over the cancellation of The Comeback, as she’s about to head to Aspen to appear at the annual HBO-sponsored U.S. Comedy Arts Festival next week.
David Schwimmer is making his Broadway debut in April in a revival of The Caine Mutiny Court-Martial. (He’s playing the part originated onstage by Henry Fonda and played in the movie by Jose Ferrer; Željko Ivanek is playing the Humphrey Bogart role of the paranoid commander Queeg.)
Finally, there’s Matt LeBlanc — anyone know what he’s up to these days? Anyone? Bueller?
