Since Bono (at right) and Bob Geldof have both done a great deal to alleviate Third World poverty, how will the judges choose between these two Nobel Peace Prize nominees? Here’s a cheat sheet (hope they read PopWatch in Norway):

Not to mention, where’s the irony relating to violence in “So Cruel”, a song basically about sex as a weapon??
And Bill Gates did a heck of a lot more to help world poverty than you did, I bet. He might be worth billions, but he doesn’t actually have billions in his back pocket like everyone seems to think. With great power comes great responsibility. Read the Time article and do your homework.
And Geldof did a great job with Live 8 and continues to. But Bono arguably works harder lobbying politicians, good AND bad, to forgive debt to poor countries. His rock star gig is only part time. His work for the poor is full time.
Ireally think both of them did not deserve to get the prize cause they were building their image, did nothing for the third world!

I may be a bit cynical but it always seems to me that Bono has not really done much. I mean yea he meets with world leaders and asks them to forgive debt, but it would seem to me that getting an audience with a President or Prime Minister would not be that hard when you achieve his level of fame. I mean sure he does way more then a ton of other celebrities but I just think with all his talking he should do something more. I mean I would love to see him do something substantial like say that all his royalties from “How to Dismantle an Atomic Bomb” will go to charity or hand over the rights to “One” or some other song to a charity to use at their discretion and make money from. I mean I appreciate what he is doing but right now but in reality it is just talking.

Roger waters is friends with BONO, Joseph Pompeii, Bill Gates, and other suspected “illuminatii”. Often these people pretend to be activists, and ROGER waters,. CB king of the seas, is most likely a fake name.
