When PopWatch posted a screen-grab yesterday of Paula Abdul’s controversial new ‘do (at left) and asked what popular movie character it reminded you of, I figured everybody would be on the same page: The American Idol judge was getting in touch with her inner Chewbacca (center) during her latest salon session, right? Then again, maybe not: While many of you did see a resemblance to Star Wars‘ beloved Wookiee, others identified more surprising sources of inspiration: Reese Witherspoon’s turn as June Carter Cash in Walk the Line (at right), Lord of the Rings‘ Legolas, and even John Travolta’s Terl from Battlefield Earth. Still, seeing as Paula was already back to a more traditional ‘do during Wednesday night’s Idol episode, the question remains: Will she go all Eddie Munster on us before the season ends? And more importantly, should she?

Show a little creativity and move on to something new, Michael Slezak.
The silence is understandably deafening. This topic is boring.
Its so boring the other Paula-wookie story has 100 comments. Way 2 go alan!!!
My point was that it’s old and tired now. That’s why it got ZERO comments this time. Way 2 go, Lana!!
my comment is that alan is forgetting that this item posted at the end of the work day and no one is really online. most people have lives and social obligations on a thursday night after 5 p.m. i happen to be here because i’m working now and i just want to say don’t mess with the infamous michael slezak. if you’re going to so judge let’s take a look at you – what are you doing tonight? googling paula abdul? surfing the web bc you’re lonely and have nothing else to do? the silence is because everyone else has a life and i’m off to live mine. maybe you should think about get a life too.
I’m waxing my dolphin tonight…
“Good relations with The Wookies, I have.”
hey kgc, back off my michael. he’s a hottie, so i doubt he’s lonely. i would like to start the slezak fanclub, RIGHT HERE, RIGHT NOW!! ok so i’m a little off the beam, but anyway, i think the topic is funny. ok michael, keep it up, now go get your sway on. peace.
Wow, you people are really mean to Michael Slezak. You try coming up with new and exciting articles to write every 5 minutes to keep up with the non-stop, same old BS that goes on in Hoolywood. Cut the guy some slack!
Um… are you guys on some serious crack?!?!
the only one giving Sleazak any grief was that dude, Alan… kgc came out in Sleazak’s defense.
Speaking of Chewy…have you seen his blog? http://rrrrrrrrrrrrrnnnnnnnnnnhhhh.blogspot.com/
Paula had too much hair pinned on top so it looked too round. That’s why she looked like “The Shmoo” or “Gloo” from “The Herculoids”.
kgc, you’re pathetic.
