Dear Lisa Rinna,
I’m not sure if I should thank you or curse you. Back on Jan. 5, when ABC premiered the second season of Dancing With the Stars, all I could do was shrug my shoulders (well, shrug my shoulders and tune in, of course). But the bottom line was: I simply couldn’t get excited. That is, until you and your oversized lips and ridiculously ripped, fortysomething bod came waltzing onto the screen.
Somehow, over the last two months, you made me care: about a show I had no intention of adding to my DVR schedule; about a C-list personality I hadn’t thought about since the Melrose Place era. Was it the Pepto-Bismol fishnet frock you trotted out in your Week 2 rumba? Or the way you set your Week 4 paso doble to Europe’s deliciously campy ”The Final Countdown”? Maybe it was how you shrieked and leaped with joy every time you got a positive comment from the judges or advanced to the next round? Whatever the reason, your enthusiasm was infectious, and when DWTS airs its Rinna-free finals this week, I’ll be watching more out of habit than anything else.
Oh, Lisa, I know you never got that perfect score you so desperately hoped one of the meany judges would give you — and you sure as heck deserved it for last Thursday’s Cha Cha Cha to ”Material Girl” — but with an earnestness I probably shouldn’t feel (and which I’m sure I’ll regret in the morning), I’ll leave you with this: You’ll always rate a 10 in my book.

THANK YOU!! Lisa Rinna was easily the best one to watch. Her personality on the show was infectious and I was really hoping she would make it to the finals. Farewell Lisa … its just not as fun anymore!

Um, doesn’t her dancing partner look like that guy from “Who wants to marry a multi-millionaire”. What was his name? All I can think of is Rick Rambo, and i know that’s not it.
No he looks like a Dutch hybrid of Harry Hamlin and Neil “Doogie” Patrick Harris. Although I must give him credit on his hair cut. On last years episode he looked like a Patrick Swayze imposter. Lisa’s dancing was awesome. She’ll be missed.
Lisa was robbed. She definitely was the most improved and as the underdog had to work twice as hard to get the judges’ approval. And she had real chemistry with Louis along with her infectious enthusiasm. I never intended to watch the show but she pulled me in and I only continued to watch because she got better and better and was so endearing. I won’t watch the finals because she should have made it.
I Love Jerry Rice, and I find him quite endearing, but I honestly thought that Lisa should have stayed. She and Louis worked so hard, and they danced so well. They were unique and intricate in their steps.
If Len Goodman wanted Jerry Rice out of the competition, he should have never insulted him in the first place. A lot of people decided to vote for Jerry, just to spite Len. If he just left Jerry alone, and didn’t degrade him, he would have been out. Jerry Rice would have accepted it, and bowed out gracefully.
In this case, I really hope Drew wins, because I found out that Stacy isn’t as “Natural” as they claim for her to be. She has had numerous years of dance instruction, and I don’t think it’s fair for everybody else. Vote for Drew and Cheryl!!!
I completely agree. I wanted to cry when Lisa got voted off. Well, not really, but I wanted to.
How in the heck is Jerry Rice getting the most call in votes? Do football fans really watch DWTS? I’m just shocked! Plus where were all those soap fans who voted for Kelly last season and not for Lisa this time?

As shocked as I am to say this, I too will miss her. She was always the highlight of the show because I didn’t expect her to be as great as she was. She really is a hot woman too!
Lisa was robbed! I actually got teary when Lisa was saying her goodbyes. I will miss her enthusiasm too. Jerry should have been gone. I pray he doesn’t win the finale.
I’d also like to vote co-host Samantha off. She’s awful. She kept asking Lisa about being “emotional.” Get some new questions. And she interrrupted the stars. I’d rather hear from them than her.

Lisa will be missed in the finale. No offense to Jerry, he has worked hard and I give him credit, but, Lisa’s enthusiasm for the show has been one of the highlights for me throughout the season. She did have great chemistry with Louis and as she progressed she lost her nerves and really got into the performance. Unfortunately, she couldn’t overcome the power of the sympathy vote. The only reason to watch the finale now is to hopefully see Drew and Cheryl knock Stacy off her perch.
I am also going to miss Lisa. No offense to Jerry (because he did try his best), but she was the better dancer. I do not think Stacey is God’s gift to Dancing. She seems very stiff to me. Sure she’s great to look at, and has legs up to her armpits, but she is like watching a robot dancing. I am praying that Drew wins. He is the one celebrity that has the skill and enthusiasm that is needed to win. Since I can’t yell, Go Team Rinna any longer, I must yell GO TEAM LACHEY!!

and tries so hard. Stacey is very good, but like a robot. Lisa surpassed all as far as the most improved. It will be interesting to see who wins.

I understand what you mean about Drew being in a boy band. Granted, he too, also had some dance training. The thing is, Stacy has had a more formal dance training and for more years. I don’t think boybands learn the Paso Doble, Fox Trot, etc. But…if I’m wrong, please let me know.
As much as I Love Jerry Rice, I hope that he gets booted out this week. I don’t think it would be fair to him that he stays, and I think he knows that.

I too, agree with you about Samantha to commentator. She is horrible! She doesn’t know how to interview properly. She would ask a question, and while the star comments on the questions, she moves the mike over, or interjects before he/she is finished. I hope she doesn’t come back next season. What happened to Lisa Canning? She was better, plus she has more experience.
