DEFINITELY BEST EVER IN MY BOOK–VINCENT AND RENEE IN THE WHOLE WIDE WORLD. YOU CAN FEEL THE TENSION AND EXCITMENT OF THE KISS AS IF YOU ARE EXPERIENCING IT FOR YOURSELF. THE WAY HE “SLIDES” INTO IT REALLY MELTS MY BUTTER!!

    Hmm..
The kiss between Gong Li and Tony Leung in “2046″ is a great one – so passionate and long!!
I also love the kiss in “On The Waterfront” where Marlon Brando and Eva Marie Saint slide down the wall in a lip-lock!
Oh – and the phone kiss in “It’s a Wonderful Life” – that one is really romantic and intense.
    Other great ones are:
Dear Frankie – Gerard Butler and Emily Mortimer stand opposite each other and stare at each other for ages and then slowly lean in for a gentle but romantic kiss.
Lost In Translation – At the end – a really sweet goodbye kiss.
    Brokeback Mountain – Reunion kiss!!
North and South (2004) – Kiss at the train station – *swoon* *swoon*

How about a kiss that didn’t happen, but you really, really wish it had? In the most recent Pride & Prejudice when Kiera Knightley’s character, Lizzie, refuses Dacry’s marriage proposal during the thunderstorm….they are both dripping wet and angry, he says to her “Forgive me…” and they stare at each other and start to lean in toward each other, you could swear they are going to give in and kiss…but NO!!!!! A gut wrenching scene. I loved it!
actually all their scenes r great

    - Whole Wide World with Renee and Vincent…I also rewound and rewatched over and over.
    - 16 Candles- Hello! She waited forever to get that kiss!
    -Camille- Greta Garbo is dying!

Seriously the best kissing scene in a movie was Griifin and Phoenix the scene where they are on a tower and their reflection is casted on the clock.

By FAR the best kiss ever is the NOTEBOOK! Can a kiss be any hotter?! In the rain, in his arms, unfaithful, passionate…I can go on forever.

There are so many, but I narrowed it down to three:
1-The kiss from Chocolat. It begins with tears of concern for her daughter and ends with soulful, beautiful Johnny Depp giving her the steamiest kiss in movie history.
2-The kiss from Lord of the Rings, Return of the King. He just grabs this beautiful creature, this ethereal being, and goes for it.
3-The kiss from Brokeback Mountain. Hungry, desperate, rough, angry, and downright beautiful.

I have to agree with Chris. The scene between Jack (DiCaprio) and Rose (Winslett) on the bow of the Titanic is probably the greatest kiss scene I’ve ever seen in a movie. I knew it was coming but I so wanted them to have that moment, and Cameron designed it so that moment lasted forever. Brilliant, beautiful. It’s movie magic in a single kiss. But that’s my thoughts.

I can’t believe I’ve only seen one comment each on the kiss between Richard Gere & Julia Ormond in “First Knight” and Eric Stoltz & Mary Stuart Masterson in “Some Kind of Wonderful”! The passion that builds up between the characters in “First Knight” gets absolutely UNLEASHED in that kiss…..WOW!!! And in “Some Kind of Wonderful”…who hasn’t been there….wanting to kiss someone who has absolutely no idea how you feel about them and then getting the opportunity….Double Wow!!! :o )
