Oprah gives James Frey another shot

This is ridiculous…It seems as if people are forgetting how this book has changed countless of lives…who cares if some of the facts are embellished or fabricated – the essence of the story is there – the fact that he went through hell, made it through rehab and stayed sober is something to be commended, not damned…..it doesn’t matter to me whether he went to jail for three months or three hours – the recovery is still inspiring and i am extremely dissapointed in Oprah – her main argument being that she was “embarrassed” by it – come on, It’s not about you Oprah – let’s get off the self-indulgent train…

This is ridiculous. A man wrote a very moving book about his challenges and struggles with addiction. He is being used as a fall guy for the publishing industry and that they can’t determine their own classifications. He submitted it, it’s up to them to classify the book – memorir, novel, whatever. If we were to question “truth” of everything we read — it would all be lies. This is a joke. Give the guy a break. He book has helped people and he is a gifted writer.

Ridiculous? This dude lied all over his book, it was a MEMOIR !Thats why people feel cheated,was he ever in re-hab? Noone has asked him that and with his lack of quick lying skills he’ll probably say :”I don’t know, I think so” If that sounds familiar that’s exaxctly what he said about his Root Canal experience.The issue isn’t about recovery,people are inspired by Star Trek as a way of life or escape with Sports,Books,Movies,Etc, It’s about the fact that he’s a hustler and people got conned.Again I think the book was good but this many lies and the fact that it’s a failed novel,people who thought this was a true story and base it on there own experiences feel jobbed.

This Oprah and Frey thing sounds rotten to me, have been listening to another story of some orphan/street urchin who wrote Okrah and had told her of this inconcieveable story of how he is the Child of the Woman in the wilderness from the Book of Revelations 12-1. Said he is the only one who can unseal the scrolls beause his FAMILY wrote it!!!!!!! Said there are three of them The Father The Son and The Ghost but in truth he is the Grandson of the Eternal Flame The Orphan Son of Jesus Christ. Thought it was a Joke checked it out. He has these seven stars on his right hand a scar on he abdomen that he says represents the one that “That dirtbag Roman Centurian Longiceps gave his Father” and another on his upper thigh that he said is from Caiphas the High Priest of the Jews. Said he was a Low Priest of the Bahani (People of Light) and that the Goverment and several religeous groups had fed him poisons, including Radioactive Istopes URANIUM 235. I asked Him are you saying that you are Jesus? “he said no” “that he was his SON!The Scars were part of the Proof! HIS ORPHAN?” HIS LAST NAME IS GRACE HE SAID THAT IN OLD GREEK THAT, THE NAME GRACE MEANS ORPHAN. Said the the Catholic Arcdiocese recovered him in these Woods 48 years ago raised him molested him and beat him his entire childhood. Lives in a tent WITH A Cat Named ISIS in the Mountains of IDAHO (Having the best snow year in twenty years)in weather that is as cold as 5 below BURIED IN 3 FEET OF SNOW, NO HEAT.
