I’ll admit it: I cave when I hear rock & roll stripped down to its raw, gritty core. So when I first heard "Broken Plates" off Magneta Lane‘s full-length debut Dancing With Daggers (out April 4 here, Feb. 14 in Canada), I absolutely lost it. I don’t understand how the Canadian ladies managed to shove so much attitude into one song, but I’m not complaining. Watch your backs, Sleater-Kinney!
