A) Madonna’s next video (for ”Sorry”) will be inspired by MTV’s Pimp My Ride.
B) Justin Timberlake is working with producer Rick Rubin (Johnny Cash, Neil Diamond) for his sophomore disc.
C) Barry Gibb is buying the former home of Johnny Cash and June Carter Cash, saying he and his wife plan to ”use the home to write songs because of the musical inspiration.”
D) Def Leppard is recording a glam-rock covers album, featuring the songs of Roxy Music, E.L.O., and the Kinks.

Right off the bat, I’m going to eliminate B and D, musicalcollaborations that might be better described as eclectic or surprisingthan outright weird. And while I’m not entirely sure how one can use ahouse to improve one’s songcraft, maybe that’s why I’m not exactlyfamous for my singing (outside my shower, anyhow). With that in mind,I’m voting for A; I remember a time (circa ”Bad Girl,” ”Like aPrayer,” and ”Take a Bow”) when nobody made better videos thanMadge, but with the taste of her phoned-in ”Hung Up” and”Hollywood” clips in my mouth, you’ll forgive me for not getting myhopes up.

dude, i know you said b&d weren’t the “right answer”, but rick rubin produced for run dmc & jay-z and def leppard are essentially a glam rock band
Def Leppard has already recorded that album well over a year ago and has been sitting on it since. You torrent fiends can find it quite easily as Yeah! has been floating around there for about 6 months.
E.L.O. would be classified under “Progressive Rock” not “Glam”.
Not so wierd but totally cool is the news about Def Lepard. Did you guys know the drummer has only one arm? I gotta “Photograph” that before the “rock of ages” leaves me with “paranoia” and worried about problems with “Hysteria”. Maybe the “gods of war” can help my “animal” instincts, especially if they “pour some sugar on me”. “Armageddon it”?
As for Oddball? Thinking about Mr. Rubin and Mr. Boobygate in the same room? Trust me y’all, he plans to “work your body” with that next album.
I’m going with c. I love Johnny Cash and June Carter Cash, and I love The BeeGees, but the two of them go together like peanut butter and toothpaste. Why shouldn’t Rick Rubin work with Justin Timberlake? He’s worked with everyone else. Madonna making a video based on something that was hot about a year and a half ago? Gee, does Vogue ring a bell? And Def Leppard are cool. They can make whatever music they want. They’ve survived a lot of tragedy and lived to tell about it.
hmmmm.. I’ve said this before and I’ll say it again. Madonna, who has always strived to break those barriers and boxes that women are often placed in always seems to get the most flack from women themselves. I suppose it would be best for her to just be like all other women and allow men to determine her future, career, success, etc.. but that’s where she stands out from the rest. While all you women are happy and content living your pathetic little insecure lives – she took charge of hers and continues to do what SHE wants.
She wants a video based on Pimp My Ride (which by the way, is all speculation.. there’s no actual truth to it or at least it has not been confirmed) so what, it’s her music video, her career and her music.. knowing her, you should stop and wonder why and wonder what she’s going to do with it considering she’s always gone against the grain.
Anyhow, just wanted to point that out.. and about how pointless this whole thread AND my comment in itself is.

Def Leppard’s drummer lost his arm in an unfortunate accident. I am sure it took some time for him to recover emotionally and still play the drums quite skillfully. They are an amazing band and I hope they will be around for many more years to come. Rock On!
What does Def Leppard have to do with Madonna? She can’t hold a candle to any of them-especially Rick Allen, who is a great drummer. Joe, the lead singer said:”He plays better now than when he had two arms.” That is a compliment! Madonna does not deserve to be mentioned alongside great rockers.
This picture of Madonna is so fake looking. We all know she does not really look that way.
