Via Movie City News comes this teaser for a movie that hasn’t even started shooting yet and won’t be out until December 2006. Not much to see here except a curvy bod (presumably Beyonce’s), but what’s that on the audio? Is that Jennifer Hudson singing ”And I Am Telling You I’m Not Going”? Pretty great.

I’m very excited to see J-Hud in this movie.. but that clearly wasn’t her singing… I”m looking forward to it a whole lot though!
That is a picture perfect “teaser” trailer. Just a hint of the main song and with a perfect builidup to the end. The kind of trailer that makes you upset that you have to wait a whole year before you see it.

I had never seen ‘Dreamgirls’ before, but after the song’s moving inclusion in ‘Camp’, I definitely became interested. Can’t wait!

Damn is that song great. I’m another “Camp” watcher that fell in love with it after that movie, so I say using it in a trailer is genius – because it kicks ass. Too bad Beyonce usually annoys the crap out of me…
Bring on Jennifer Hudson or Frenchie Davis. I saw Frenchie Davis in the role on stage in San Jose when she toured with the stage version of Dreamgirls. She brought the house down!

That definitely was J-Holiday. But I think J-Hudson could definitely pull of the vocals. I hear she beat out Beyonce and Fantasia for the role. So Beyonce (I think) is playing the role Sheryll Lee Ralph play (Deanna?). But it’s about time. With all the musicals coming out, I thinks it’s a great idea.
