Yeah, I know, Arrested Development won’t be back on the air till December, but that doesn’t mean last night’s Monday-night sweeps schedule wasn’t packed with jaw-droppers. (If you taped Prison Break, Medium, or Las Vegas and don’t like spoilers, quit reading now.)
Which was the highlight for you?
-On Las Vegas, Lara Flynn Boyle’s dragon lady Monica Mancuso (left) was up on the roof of the Montecito laying into Danny and wearing what looked like some kind of skydiving outfit, when (apparently) a strong gust of wind picked her up, lifted her horizontally, and hurled her to her imminent death. In a word: Huh?
-On Prison Break, the criminal life of John Abruzzi (Peter Stormare) came to an end when creep-tastic T-Bag pulled a blade from inside his mouth and slit Abruzzi’s throat. (Seriously, how does one keep a blade alongside the tender gums without cutting ‘em something awful? Not that I want to try it or anything.) Anyhow, I’m assuming the tough guy won’t be back next week, based on the copious amount of blood he spilled.
-And on Medium, a heavily hyped 3-D episode captured a particularly cool moment in which a meat cleaver was hurled into a woman’s back. I have to say, even though I had a hard time paying attention to the dialogue whenever the 3-D logo flashed and I had to put on my groovy red-and-blue glasses, the somewhat special effects made my night. Or maybe it was just the typically great performances by Patricia Arquette and Jake Weber.
I don’t even think the gust of wind would have to be that strong to pick up Lara Flynn Boyle! Seems realistic to me!
I am just glad she’s gone! Hope we can go back to the Las Vegas I (used to) love.
None of your mentioned shows! My highlight was the terrific Thanksgiving episode of “How I Met your Mother”.
Regarding Prison Break, the blade in the mouth can happen.
That scene with Monica being blown off the Monetecito was the most ridiculous thing I have ever seen.
Sorry, didn’t see Las Vegas BUT did see both Prison Break and Medium which both make Monday must-see. I didn’t see the potential demise of Stormare’s character coming. I will being going into serious withdrawal after next Monday. Fox, how could you? And then there’s Medium. I totally agree. The spirits stuff is interesting but the meat of the show comes from the performances and the depiction of real family life. Kudos to the talent on that show!
Las Vegas has definitely jumped the shark.
Nope, nope, nope. The BEST thing about Monday night was RELATED. I may be a hopeless romantic and a chick-genre fanatic (chick-flicks, chick-lit, etc.), but seriously, this show is so funny and touching, and this along with Grey’s Anatomy make my week.
My highlight was Surface, of course.
Brett Favre threw 2 touchdowns to Donald Driver – both on my fantasy football team!!! Woot, woot!!!

I was feeling Prison Break, but watched Medium for the gimic factor.
Overall, the gimic was disapointing. I wanted a lot more 3-d than they offered.
Anyway, my winner is Prison Break, with the surprise shanking at the end.

Prison Break- Very good episode kept me on the edge of my seat. Soo sad that next week is the last ep of the year

CSI:MIAMI
another great show and episode.. and the extended ending was a nice twist to the story line. Its ratings have gone down this season… Mainly due to the absense of Everybody Loves Raymond from CBS’s monday line up
Both CSI:Miami and 2.5 Men have suffered a rating drop.. Ihope next fall cbs picks up the rusell peters comedy for its monday line up. IT WOULD BE PERFECT for 9pm and then 9:30 would be for 2.5 men and then csi miami
but then there is no space for out of practice :’(
