ABC hasn’t announced who’ll appear on the next season of Dancing with the Stars, beginning Jan. 5, but the New York Post has the names of some possible contenders being considered, including Lisa Rinna (far left, who even dressed as DWTS champ Kelly Monaco for Halloween on her Soapnet show; cohost Ty Treadway is her John O’Hurley), Jerry Rice, Robert Wagner, Kevin Nealon, and Drew Lachey.
Are any of these folks on your Dancing wish list? If not, who’d you like to see rumba-ing (and rumbling)?
I know he already has a show on ABC right now, but I think it would be awesome if William Shatner was on Dancing with the Stars. He would be funny, and I bet he’s probably pretty good, too!
People will really watch anything….

Are they going to stick to the formula of the last installment, of having “celebs” from various areas of entertainment compete? If so, here are a few suggestions:
Soap star: Dierdre Hall, Linda Dano (she’d be good, she’s on Desperate Housewives right now. Cross-promotion!), Lorenzo Lamas.
Former Model: Naomi Campbell, Kate Moss, Cindy Crawford
Former Pop Singing Sensation: Debbie Gibson, Tiffany, any other NKOTB or BSB.
Former Pro Athlete: Charles Barkley, Mark Messier, Mia Hamm, Lance Armstrong
Former Reality TV Star: Pick ‘em. The tv landscape is littered with them.
I think if there going for a soap star Melissa Reeves(Jennifer – DAYS) would be good?
–but they did that last year and it would be boring. I’d like Lisa Rinna, though she was a soap star on DAYS, she’s good and I heard she was awesome last year ummm on that show….uggg I forgot it’s name.. ggrrrr.
I would like John Stamos, Tony Danza, and Tom Welling. I would also like Wayne Brady, but he is probably considered a professional dancer. Because of her dancing performances on “Sport Night,” and “Desperate Housewives,” I believe Felicity Huffman would be a good choice. If she wasn’t pregnant, I would consider Jennifer Garner. Terrell Owens would be another of my choices. Not only does he have dancing experience, but he currently has time available to practice.
How about Lynda Carter? She still looks great after all of these years and she is back in the limelight again after Sky High, Wonder Woman on DVD and the Dukes of Hazzard movie.
Or Nicolette Sheridan? Mandy Moore? Tamyra Gray?
You guys are forgetting something. On the last ‘Dancing with the Stars’ they weren’t really ‘stars’. They were more like washed up actors who have nothing else going on in their schedules. Some of the celebrities mentioned already are far too popular and it would totally hurt their career if they appeared on DWTS.

Lets be honest big stars arent going to go outside of their image shell and dance their little hearts out. I do think Christopher Walken would be a good choice. And if they are sticking to the athlete choice, I really hope they pic someone that stands a chance. Yeah its fun to laugh but Evander was just painful to watch.
Because I’m weird and evil – I want one of the retiring NASCAR drivers to give it a shot.
How about Jason Alexander (George from Seinfeld)? Wasn’t he broadway trained or some such thing? Other contenders-Tony Danza, Danny Bonaduce, Taylor Dayne or Melissa Gilbert?
I would like to see Patrick Swazie dance with Demi Moore or anyone for that matter. That would be a ghost of a danceteam.
