Two new movie trailers for you:
-The Fountain (2006) It’s just 40 seconds long, but the teaser clip for Darren Aronofsky’s long-awaited, millennium-spanning fantasy epic offers a lot of food for thought. Specifically, what became of Hugh ”Wolverine” Jackman’s hair?
-Edison (2006) Remember when this was going to be the movie that proved Justin Timberlake had chops as a serious dramatic actor? In the film, which has been sitting on the shelf for a year, Timberlake plays a cub reporter who uncovers a citywide police corruption scandal. In the trailer, however, there’s a lot of Morgan Freeman, Kevin Spacey, and LL Cool J, but very little Timberlake, who doesn’t appear until about halfway through and who says only about eight words. Has his performance been left on the editing room floor? Inquiring investigative reporters want to know.
-Superman Returns (June 30, 2006) and Lady in the Water (July 21, 2006). Alas, these trailers for the comic book epic and the M. Night Shyamalan thriller aren’t online yet, though the Superman Returns official website is now launched. But both clips will play in theaters at screenings of Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, opening Nov. 18.

Edison is being shared online. Justin’s own fans have reacted negatively. The film is a mess and Justin sounds like a 12 year old. Morgan Freeman has mentioned in interview before that Justin will need some kind of voice training if he really wants to be an actor. His speaking voice is probably the reason he doesn’t say much in the Edison trailer.
Good move, leaving music for movies. It’s easy to predict he’ll be back to music as soon as he can come up with somethng worthy now.
“The Fountain” cannot come out soon enough. This is my go to movie for 2006.
