So, um, what’s the official policy on spoilers on Popwatch? Because right now I’m really glad that I’ve already watched last night’s episode, and thinking I’d be really, really crabby if I hadn’t….
I don’t mind Shannon being dead, since she didn’t serve much purpose on the show besides being Sayid’s (completely unbelievable) love interest. However, now that she and Boone are both gone and there’s no one to “remember” their flashbacks, doesn’t it seem like their entire stories were a waste? So all of the time and episodes spent dwelling on Shannon and Boone were basically irrelevant? I’m just sayin’.
Yo, I second that.
thank you mcm…i actually hadn’t gotten to watch the show last night and have it recorded and waiting!! some other websites just did headlines that didn’t reveal who died and that gives u the option to either read it or not, but nooooooo, not EW. They threw up her picture and all on their homepage. Ugh, now, i get to watch but not be suprised.
I would be soooo mad if I had not already seen the show last night. Baaaaaaad move on the Pop Watch section.
waah, waah. This site provides a sort of water cooler function – do you scream at your coworkers too when they talk about something that you didn’t watch? If the show is good enough, the story will be stronger than any surprise. Lost is that good.
I think she’s really dead since Maggie Grace will be on Crossing Jordan. Then again Julie Bowen is a new cast member of Boston Legal, and yet I’m still hoping she makes another Lost appearance because I want to know what happened w/ Jack & Sarah’s marriage.
Killing off characters from the same family doesn’t make sense though. And with Shannon dying, what was the purpose of Boone’s death then?
To be fair, if I’ve missed a hugely popular show that everyone talks about the next day, I make it a point to avoid all media websites (especially EW) until I can watch it because I know they are likely to write or post information about what happened on the show.
I learned long ago not to go to the EW website the day after any show you had not yet watched has been on. There have been many times where a taped episode of the Amazing Race has been spoiled since the picture of the person eliminated is on the main page. Now I know better and avoid.
It’s not a spoiler if the show’s already been broadcast. Quit whining.
well, it wasnt that much of a surprise that she died anyway, right?
and i think there are gonna be huge surprises in the backstories, so everything we know about boone and shannon will be important somewhere down the line…
Stay away from entertainment websites if you don’t want to be spoiled. Everyone that reads ew.com has to know that they recap the last episode of Lost every week and there’s a link off the homepage.
stop being babies.
Yeah, I HADN’T seen my Tivo last night — can’t believe they put that in a headline. Couldn’t they just have said LOST: Is she really dead?” or something like that? C’mon, ET, a little respect for the busy working folk of the world…
This show (like many) are broadcast at different times here, and around the world. (weeks to months different) Spoiler alerts should be put up for people OUTSIDE our borders who get this show. (yes, there are actually other people besides us americans)
SPIOLER! <– see how easy that was.
