Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie are at risk of becoming dangerously underexposed now that Fox has made the decision to cancel the fourth season of The Simple Life, their fish-out-of-water reality series. Interestingly, despite all assurances that an alleged Hilton-Richie dustup would not prevent another season with the former BFFs (and not with Hilton and Kimberly Stewart, as was rumored), the network gave as the only reason for the show’s cancellation the "incompatibility" of its stars.
Nevertheless, producers of the show, 20th Television Fox and Bunim-Murray Productions, remained optimistic, alluding to an impending deal with another network (Bunim-Murray has some pull over at MTV, I hear). Us Weekly, who first reported the news, will also do their part, I’m sure, to keep Hilton and Richie in the warmth of the spotlight until they line up a suitable new network home. But oh, Paris and Nicole, how can we miss you if you don’t go away?
In happier news, CBS has given the thumbs-up to a seventh season of Big Brother and — breathe, breathe — Fox tells us that, despite the rumors and continued middling ratings, Arrested Development will, in fact, return in November after the baseball playoffs with an episode featuring a sure-to-be-genius guest star: Frankie Muniz.

I don’t like Paris because I can’t get away from her. She is all over the news for no reason. And all she says is “that’s hot” and thinks she invented some trademark phrase along the lines of “whatever,” a true classic. Maybe if she did something that impressed me I would like her, or at least tolerate her. I can stand Nicole Richie because she got clean and pulled her image out of the gutter, which is something.
I know that I could probably get away from Paris if I canceled my Us subscription, but I can’t. It’s like crack.
Maybe Bravo can pick it up. It seems to be the channel that will play any reality show the other channels won’t.
Simple Life was cancelled because these girls grew apart. They whored out their “friendship” and look where is got them! Hopefully, they’ll grow up, Nicole’s soon to be husband will make her eat something (you’re so pretty when you don’t look like a cadaver Nicole)and Paris will make everyone suffer. (I hear she’s a nice kid, it isn’t her fault she’s rich. You know who I’m afraid of? That Fabian Basabe jackass, he’s scary.)
About that picture- who stands like that? Posture, girls!
I never understood the fascintation with these two, other than the train wreck syndrome. What talents do these two possess other than inducing my mind to throw up from their inanity?

I still don’t see what’s ‘hot’ about Paris, or Nicole for that matter. One is the ditzy, bleach- blonde heiress of a mediocre hotel chain, who probably can’t even dress herself; and the other, an adopted daughter of a long forgotten Lionel. These two have no talent, Paris has seemingly little brains, and Nicole doesn’t seem to have much going for her either.
And what is with that picture? Trying to compare bust sizes?!
They milked their 15 minutes for everything it was worth. Go away. Buh-bye now. Now….THAT’S hot!
Poor Paris! First she goes single from her man, now her BFF is no where to be found. Maybe she can swim in a pool filled with money to make herself feel better?
AD is coming back! Woo Hoo! Maybe hot dvd sales will inspire Fox to keep this show on the air. I bought season 2 this week and hope everyone else did their part by purchasing one as well…
