Download This: Minus the Bear

There are plenty of bands with absurdly brilliant names,Death Cab for Cutie and Scary Kids Scaring Kids are two of my favorites. Now it’s time to add Seattle natives Minus the Bear to thelist. Their latest album, Menos el Oso ("Minus the Bear" in Spanish), contains so many catchy indie-rock anthemsthat you won’t be able to stop doing that head-bouncing thing the kids do at their shows. Not only that, any of theirsongs will put a smile on your face. (How could you not grin when reading thetitle "Hey! Is That a Ninja Up There?") Check out "Hooray" and see for yourself. Minus are on tour until Oct. 18, so if you like what you hear, check ‘em out live.
