I never saw an episode but I’ve got to stick up for my boy Adam Goldberg who’s getting lambasted here. He’s a very talented actor with distinction. Sure he’s a bit nasally and whiny but he’s something. Chris O’Donnell’s wet cardboard. You can’t do anything with that guy, he’s like good ol’ Freddy Prinze Jr. He’s okay to look at but there’s no substance. I mean does Chris have a famous dad that I don’t know about. I just don’t see how he’s “made it” in the biz. He obviously can’t carry a show. I’m sure Chris is a nice guy but I just don’t see Adam as being the problem.
My wife and I enjoyed the show… it was a work in progress but not nearly as bad as others. I was mildly disappointed with the cancellation.
I liked this show. Unfortunately, it was doomed from the start with its time-slot. It was nice to see a fresh spin on the legal system and feature two small time guys take on the corporate giants. There was a lot of room for these guys to go, including a crossover with the folks at Boston Legal. Chris and Adam had great chemistry on-screen together, like the Odd Couple, but in the work-place. Maybe the network should take a hint from their own “Arrested Developement” and realize that poor ratings don’t mean a show is not good. Maybe they’ll put re-runs of “Firefly” on in its place…
Big fan of Chris O’Donnel’s, and have been since “Men Don’t Leave” back in 1990. Trust me, the man can act. Judging from some of these amatuer posts I have read, it is clear to see how quickly people forget the talent Chris showed while working with Jessica Lange, Al Pacino, Tommy Lee Jones (“Blue Sky”, “Scent of a Woman”) etc. His performance in “Circle of Friends” especially, was very moving – the chemisty he had with Minnie Driver was palpable and touching. Now on the flip side, as much as I love Chris, I can not STAND Adam Goldberg. I think the first thing I saw him in was “Friends”, and I almost couldn’t take it. I have never been so repulsed/repelled by an actor before. Literally painful to watch him on screen. To hear him speak is almost worse then having to look at him. However, with Chris in the show, I had to TIVO “Head Cases”, and found it – even with Adam in it – entertaing. I was disapointed by the cancellation news, but I immediately thought “Well, at least now Chris can move onto another vehicle where I don’t have to look at Adam Goldberg in it”.
HUGE fan of Chris O’Donnells. Was happy to see him back in action – haven’t seen him since “Vertical Limit”. Chris is the reason I watched the show. However, I would have liked to see him come back in a better show. Well, to be more specific, the show was not that bad, but enduring Adam Goldberg, now that’s BAD. In fact, that’s not entertainment, that’s just painful. Still, sorry to see Chris go so soon. But, like another post said, hopefully we will see him soon. Also, I wouldn’t dare say anything bad about FOX no matter what they do with their schedule… They had the good taste to renew the best sitcom on television “Arrested Development” for a third season. Please FOX Executives, PLEASE leave “Arrested Development” on the air as long as Mitchell Hurwitz is willing to make it! Waiting at the end of each season to find out if it’s axed or renewed is Hell! Now that I think of it, FOX has another really good sitcom this year as well, and that would be “Kitchen Confidential”. Bravo FOX. Now find Chris O’Donnell another show!
The show was not a big hit, but it was still entertaining and something different. It would have been nice to see a few more episodes of Chris O’Donnell, being that he was the reason I decided to tune in. I don’t think that pulling the show after only two episodes is fair, but it was up against a lot of other big shows. Let’s keep our fingers crossed that we’ll see O’Donnell in another comeback show that actually sticks.
Watch both shows… My wife and I watched “Lost” also. It was bad marketing to put it on Wed. nights. I would have not watched both show if I did not record it. I liked the show, and hope they bring it back at a different time.
I liked this show it was different it had the right direction. Poor advertising and time slot, plus two shows does not give the public a chance to even get to know the show.
Loved the show, sorry to see it go. As for replacing it with screaming brats and babysitters? Fox should call in an executive programming nanny, 911. Two episodes, the second against a big season premiere, isn’t enough data to cancel anything but my optimism after a glimpse of intelligence and creativity on Fox.
I loved the show and am sorry to see it cancelled so soon. The time slot it had was doomed up against Lost, I also taped it, but would have kept watching the tapes. It was a funny delightful show, sorry to Chris!

The show was all Adam Goldberg. And he is great. Smacked one guy in the face with a book. Threw another guys fishing pole in the water. Got even with the dopes on the golf course. And in the courtoom…he was a hoot.
Regarding the rest of the cast: The secretary was OK. Disappointed to see Richard Kind. Talk about one annoying personality that repeats and repeats in every show he’s in.
But Adam. Boy, if you don’t like him you just don’t get it.
I am actually opne of the few Tv viewers who doesn’t really care for lost…I was so thrilled to see something else on that was actually funny and interesting. Drama is great but I teach high school, enought drama everyday!! I could really identify with head cases…hated to see it go so soon…..
