Madonna's new CD cover: Hot or not?

Categories: Madonna

153759__madonna_lMadonna’s website is offering fans a sneak peek at the cover for her Confessions on a Dancefloor CD (due Nov. 15), and to me, it looks like the photographic love child of her 1993 ”Fever” video and a Target ad. As for the redheaded, hotpants-clad diva, well, I think she’s lookin’ mighty saucy — and yes, I mean that as a compliment. But enough about my opinion: It’s time to hear from all y’all saucy PopWatchers. What do you think of Madge’s latest reinvention?

    I LOVE IT! IT’S HOT!
    CAN’T WAIT FOR THE VIDEO!
ALTHOUGH, TRUE BLUE IS HER BEST ART COVER TO DATE!!!!!

  • Liz

Its really gorgeous and unique. Madonna has never had a red-headed cover yet and it really looks like a dance album. Whoever did it is really talented.

  • Scott

I am so excited for this album!! The clips I’ve heard so far are amazing and the cover definitely sets the tone!!!

  • Ben

it kinda looks like she has fallen and can’t get up.

  • Paul

On her way to audition for the Annie revival, Madonna was thrown from her horse and landed with a thud.

  • Troy

I love it. Nothing like what I expected, and considering her last few album covers haven been less than exciting or stimulating, I think this is a good sign for the album in gerenal!

  • Joyce

This is EXCELLENT! Loved Madonna since day one! Cannot wait to annoy my black cubemate with this CD.

  • Rob

Scott – where did u hear the clips? please post URL link.
    Thanks!!

As an avid album cover collector (and lover), I think this is one of Madonna’s best covers, especially since American Life was one of her worst (I do like the Music cover though).
I agree with a previous reviewer that True Blue, with its stunning Herb Ritts portrait, is her best but this one looks like a lot of fun.
I like the fact that it seems to trace Madonna’s roots — it looks like Madonna is getting ready for dance class — hints of her dance training. The fact that it’s not a close-up of her face is also interesting.

the orange and pink are b.a.d. together. the image is good though…very disco.

  • Michael

I heard some of the new song and its going to be huge!! I think the cover works.

  • Ariel

I love Madge, but she’s clearly breaking the retro rule with this cover: if you remember the fad the first time around, you should skip it when it resurfaces 20 years later. In this case, “When you’ve already done early-’80s disco pop, you should probably avoid recreating it 20 years later.”

  • Daniel

Madonna always has the best collaborators in the world working for her. This album cover shows once more why she is the biggest artist on the last 20 years.

  • Derek

I love that Madonna has yet again done something different!! I can’t wait for this new album, I think it is going to be unbelievable!!

  • Andrew Chadwick

What accent will Madonna have this time?

  • Joe

    LOVE IT!
She is looking hotter than ever.
    Can’t wait!!!

  • Scott N

I think the album cover is her hottest yet. i hope this album is Madonna’s huge new comeback. hopefully, she won’t get too political and stays true to her pop/dance roots. I’m soooooo excited for the new single!

  • sean patrick

    soooo freakin hot!
best cover to date and truly touches on the whole dance/disco music she’s going for.

  • marty

This looks AMAZING!! Sexy, Fun, celebratory….word is this is THE Madonne dance record, I think its gonna make her HUGE all over again.
    If mariah, why not MADGE????

  • Geoff

It looks cool. It’s certainly different from her other album covers. I can’t wait to see the video for “Hung Up.” Let’s hope the new album drops the beats we all hope to hear. I’m ready to boogie-woogie!

  • Marcus

I’d really hate to be her children.

  • Jen

To be honest, I’m not a fan of the red hair. Other than that I like though.

  • alberto

Considering that the new album is a dance record, the cover shot is brilliant. Totally different from what she’s done in the past. Plus, the song “Hung Up” sounds amazing. Count me in.

  • djm

I think it’s great – especially compared to most album/cd covers these days.

  • Alessandro

SHE’S HOT!! THE QUEEN IS BACK!
    BEHOLD SHE’S COMING SOON…………..

  • Tommy

It one of her best. Looks like shes Hung Up inside a Disco Ball. Definately want to see more from that photo session. She looks better than most half her age. She is one hot MILF!!!

  • TeamLamb

Madonna is over with. We Mariah Carey fans are gonna stop her! Check out our new website:

On first glance: love it! Speaks volumes to the club/dance/pop community. They’ll scoop it up in droves.
Though…got to say, Kylie did it first with her ‘Fever’ album cover. Madonna usually is the first off the blocks for a trend, but I think Ms.Minogue beat her by 3 years.
That said, I wish Madonna all the best success in the world with this release- I’ll be buying it. Thanks Madge for really listening to your true fans and taking us back to the dancefloors- see u there in our underwear!

  • Kimmie G

I’m digging it! Who doesn’t love wondering what Madonna’s next incarnation will be? The red hair is a blast!

  • james

The fact that you are showing someone’s album cover more than a month before it’s release, and then debating its merits speaks volumes about Madonna’s on-going relevance… love her or loathe her she is still the biggest pop star in the world (record sales notwithstanding)… long live madge!
