-Ready for Donny and Kathie Lee? Mr. Osmond and Mrs. Gifford are reportedly plotting their returns to daytime TV, as a talk-show duo. (Uh oh.) Meanwhile, Kathie Lee’s gig as a ‘’special correspondent” for The Insider begins today.
-In other TV news, two new comics are joining Saturday Night Live this season: Andy Samberg (whose skills as a filmmaker may bring filmed shorts back to SNL) and Punk’d ”field agent” Bill Hader. The show’s 31st (!) season begins Oct. 1.
-Cedric the Entertainer is hosting the American Music Awards on Nov. 22, taking over from two-time host Jimmy Kimmel. Nominations will be announced on Sept. 20.
