Congrats to Hilary Duff. The 17-year-old actress/pop rocker’s hits collection Most Wanted entered the Billboard album chart at No. 1, moving 208,000 units and outselling new releases by Brad Paisley and 311. Clearly, having a catalogue deeper than two albums before releasing a greatest hits CD is so yesterday.

what? most wanted is a greatest hits album?? and i thought britney was crazy making a gh album so soon. why aren’t people making fun of her like crazy? oh is it because he’s 17 – wtf? her time to overcome lindsay was ripe for the picking with her going super skinny blonde, but no she releases this stupid album.
It’s really quite incredible that a 17 yr-old would have the guts to release a greatest hits album, even more incredible is the people who are going out in droves to buy it!
Those people just revoked their right to complain that there’s no more good music out there. Of course, I’m guessing the majority of them are 10-13 year olds who enjoy Britney, Xtina and Lohan, so that right really doesn’t come into play does it?

Did I just read that it takes “guts for a 17 year-old to produce a greatest hits album”? No it doesn’t. It takes greed and a really powerful agent with good marketing. If the guts you refer to belong to the agent that thought this would be a good idea to cash in on the career of a talented girl before she burns out, yeah, that took guts and a little audacity. For hillary and her guardians it took a signature with some dollar signs by the dotted line. It would have taken guts NOT to sign and not cashed in. It takes guts to tell your boss to go to hell not get a couple million dollars on something you already made.
I see nothing wrong with Hilary Duff releasing a Greatest Hits album. Let’s face it…she’s growing up. She is NOT going to have a career as soon as her little fans grow up and discover there are artists out there who can actually SING! She might as well get all the money she can while these little kids are still willing to spend their parent’ money.
By the way, how can you have a Greatest Hits album without having any hits? Just wondering.
Write it off as her loyal fanbase buying the album.
I love Hilary Duff!! I think Most Wanted is her best cd ever and i’m glad that it went to number 1. The only reason she released a greatest hits album is because she’s too busy to record anymore new songs. So all you people saying mean stuff about her stop. Sje’s accomplished more things in her life than any of you will probably ever do!

Congrats to Hilary Duff for her #1 album, she has a lot more talent than her wannabe peers (Lindsay, Ashlee, etc) and actually has a pretty good singing voice. And for all of you haters out there, the disc is not just a greatest hits, the majority is new content–new songs, remixes, live performances, and previously unreleased tracks.
Her fanbase is not just 13 yr old girls (I am a 26 yr old male), so she has a lot wider appeal than you might think.
Ugh. When I think of manufactured artists Hilary Duff immediately comes to mind. The positive thing is that her career will likely be over in a few years as others have pointed out. She has no artistic integrity and I doubt she has any artistic vision. Anyways, because she is a “product” of the industry a new “model” will come out in a few years to replace Hilary and render her irrelevant.
Hillary is annoying. Lindsay may not be the goodie-two-shoes that Hillary is *gag* but she’s got a helluva lot more talent and Hollywood knows that.
The fact is “losers” (put the shoe on if it fits) she will always have way more money than you or your bitter selves will ever have!

Hilary Duff is one great singer. People out there say that she is horrible, and she lip sings – that is so not true. If it is, then ANYONE in the world can be like her.
It’s true that it’s a free world, we have a freedom of speech. But really, think about it, if you don’t like Hil, why put your time on this?
Hilary has worked hard, and we all know that. She’s put a lot of effort on everything she’s done.

i think hilary has one of the worst voices i have heard in my life and one of the worst actresses. Her voice has not rythem to and and no wave just flat notes. She has to get her albums remixed over and over to make it seem like she has a ok voice (but even with the remixs she still stounds like carp.)And this whole greatest hits thing?? you cant make greatest hits out of two albums her songs have not even gone anywhere, they dont play them at all. I also think it was a ploy to save from going bankrupt becasue she quit the disney thing and thats the only she she had going for her and when she quit it she thought she could hit it big? Idont think so.. These cd’s are a pathetic atempt to reach the succses of lindsay lohan, Kelly Clarkson, Mariah Carry abnd many others. She does not have what it takes.
