Oh yeah, this makes sense: The NFL is entering into a season-long promotional partnership with the Rolling Stones, whose Detroit concert on the Sept. 6 release date of the band’s A Bigger Bang CD will be excerpted during the NFL Opening Kickoff 2005 special on ABC two days later. It’s a natural fit, right? Because when you see 60-something British rockers dispensing leering sexual innuendo, you think of pro football, don’t you? Let me get this straight, Nicollette Sheridan is too risqué a promotional partner for the NFL, but the Stones are family-friendly now? A few years down the road, Marilyn Manson will be rocking the kickoff, and then I will feel as old as Mick and Keith put together.

How are the censors on drug use? It seems to me that guys like Keith Richards defy all the conventional logic when it comes to drug use and it may send kids the wrong message…something like “It’s bad to do drugs unless you are part of a well known rock band, in which case, you should do all the drugs you want!”
Though honestly, the NFL had Aerosmith play a show on national tv and they behaved pretty good, though I’d hate to see what their hotel room looked like the next day
Marliyn who??
But it wasn’t about Nicollette…that was again the race thing…..how offensive to all the white boys and men….anything goes as long as we don’t make the guys skirm……still same old story….
