South Carolina isn’t exactly a hotbed of new music — until now. Meet Baumer, a band that will make you want to apologize to your little sister for being mean to herall those years ago. Eighties-inspired keyboards, (a la DuranDuran), a sprinkle of The Killers, a dash of electro-indie, and a pinch of Franz Ferdinand. Take a listen to "How the West Was 1" and tellme it couldn’t have been in Some Kind of Wonderful. That’s what I thought.

Very, very nice. I’ll have to pick up that album when it comes out. Have to support fellow Carolinians.
Cheers for West! And congratulations to the members of Baumer. I’ll of course be buying the album the day of. See you guys around.
This is a great album and a FAB tribute to the punk bands of the ’80s. Thanks, Baumer, for adding your own personal twist.
EVERYONE GO OUT AND BUY THIS
They are terrible. Does every chorus have to be two lines repeated. Does every chorus have two be two lines repeated. Does every chorus. . . You get the point. Why is it bands get signed because they sound like bands: Killers, Muse, Hoobastank? Track #7 was good.
This album is stinkin’ amazing! One of the best things to come out of our state in a while!
